After World War II, the Association was moved to Hamburg. The Association, which had been focused mainly on Germany, became an international institution on a public-service basis, and has been located in the German Goldsmiths' House, Hanau, since 1985.
To date, about 150 exhibitions and more than 100 national and international competitions have been accomplished.
